Nationality — Karachai. He was born on 27 February 1954 in the village of White Water, Sairam district of the Kazakh SSR, where his parents, like other Karachays were deported in 1943 (returned home with his family in 1957). He graduated from high school Pervomaiskoye malokarachaevskiy district. He graduated from the Miri-Arab madrasah in Bukhara and the Islamic Institute in Tashkent. Trained at Cairo University "al-Azhar".

In 1989 he was elected Chairman kasyate Muslims of the Stavropol territory.Since 1991, Chairman of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic and the Stavropol territory.Since 2010 Chairman of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Karachay-Cherkess Republic (formed a new Spiritual administration of Muslims of the Stavropol territory).In 2003 held in Moscow the meeting of the coordinating center of Muslims of the North Caucasus, was elected its new Chairman.Since 2004 member of the Council for cooperation with religious associations under the President of the Russian Federation
